part time studio managerGlazed Creations is a Royston based pottery painting studio that provides a creative and relaxing space, where ideas can flow freely. We are looking for someone to join our happy team as a part time studio manager running the studio. Our ideal candidate is looking to work 3 days a week (Wed, Fri & Sat), additional hours may be available during school holidays. You should be over 18 and comfortable using your initiative. Customer service is very important to us, we enjoy looking after people as we play a part in assisting them with their pottery projects. Families and children are a big part of our customer base at weekends, you will need to be comfortable talking to children and happy to get involved in the exuberance of children’s parties. Running parties following our set structure will be part of your role. The successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS check.

Job descriptionWe are seeking someone to join our team working 2 weekday and 1 weekend shifts on a rota that is prepared and agreed with staff at least 3 months in advance. Initial training will involve working with Kelly and may require some additional weekday hours but we would expect that after 6 weeks the successful candidate will move onto a permanent rota.
The weekdays shifts are Wednesday 9:00am – 6:00pm , Friday 9:00am – 4:30pm, and weekend shift is Saturday 9:30am to 5pm. We are looking for a candidate that can offer some flexibility in working additional shifts at busy times of year (October – December) and to cover holiday throughout the year. We have scope to discuss and vary the shift pattern. Rate of Pay We are offering starting pay between £10.42 - £10.90 per hour, with a pay review after 3 months once training and probation are completed. In addition you will receive a 30% staff discount on any pottery you or immediate family members that live in your household paint and a free place at any of our techniques workshops. DUTIES
We work together as a close team, with all tasks being carried out by all team members. We require someone who is happy to work within a team as well as independently. There are limited painting opportunities when working, depending on your pottery painting experience we may need to ask you to come in during the week for training in basic techniques.
